What makes Physical Therapy at Ohio Sports Chiropractic & Rehab different?
From initial evaluation to every physical therapy treatment session, you will work one-on-one with me, a former Division I runner and current high-level Marathoner who is striving to reach the Olympic Trials standard; I can relate and understand what it is like to compete and run while managing injuries and dealing with adversity. My goal as a PT is to see you stay in your sport, continue to to be competitive while improving strength and balance to make you an overall better athlete. Instead of being thrown into a clinic where the PT is seeing 2-3 patients at a time, you will receive my sole attention with manual techniques and the most up to date exercises for your injury.
I believe that injuries are resolved through purposeful movement and loading, and I will help you find that fine line between allowing the tissues to adapt without doing too little or too much to find you the proper load for your specific injury. Different from other PT clinics where you may be seen 2-3 times per week, I like to typically see a patient once a week; my goal is to provide you with the education and the best exercises for your specific injury in order to enable you to continue healing on your own. Additionally, we try to keep you “in the game” during the rehab process, allowing you to continue your sport or activity fully or at a modified level.
Much like our Chiropractors, I try to stay on the cutting edge of research and try to apply exercises not only from the physical therapy world, but from the Athletic Training, Personal Training and Chiropractic world as well. I believe there is something to learn from every aspect of sports medicine. Our favorite part of Physical Therapy; seeing our patients achieve goals they never thought were possible! Not sure where to start with your injury? Schedule a visit today and let us help get you back on track!
